BESPOKE FAQ
How do I start the bespoke process?
Bespoke projects start with an initial consultation either in person, by phone, or email to discuss your ideas & budget. In person or zoom appointments are our preference, as we can share imagery & ideas more efficiently.
During our consultation we will discuss possible designs, material options, timeframe and budget. If you are unsure of any details at this early stage, that's ok and to be expected - we will guide you through the process.
To get started - book an appointment or email the studio.
How much do bespoke pieces cost?
There is a minimum cost of $2000 AUD for one-off unique pieces in gold.
Price varies depending on the design, complexity & materials. You can set the budget, and the piece can be designed and materials selected to suit.
If you simply want to make a minor modification to an existing design (eg, different stone colour or metal) this will be more cost effective & a faster turnaround.
How long do bespoke projects take?
Anywhere from 4 - 12 weeks depending on the nature of the project & current workloads. Timeframe can be discussed in more detail during our first consultation.
If you need your piece completed by a certain date, please let us know and we will try our best to accommodate your request.
Rush orders on a shorter timeframe may be possible by request.
Can I supply my own gold or gemstones?
We are happy to repurpose most gemstones or diamonds out of existing jewellery. Gemstones will need to be inspected at the studio to make sure they are in a suitable condition.
We are not able to reuse or melt down customers metals to use in our pieces due to our casting process. Precious metals may be traded in for store credit - this would require the metal being assessed and weighed in the studio.
How do I find the correct ring size if I am purchasing a ring as a gift?
If you are able to measure the inside diameter of a ring they currently wear to the nearest mm, or take it to a jeweller to measure the size, this will help to get a good estimate of the ring size. Take note of what hand and finger they wear that ring on & we can usually take an educated guess.
We do not recommend any string or paper methods to measure the finger circumference.
Most rings can be resized after purchase, but it’s good to get as close to the size as possible to avoid any resizing issues & extra costs.
If the ring is not a surprise - order a ring sizer.
